The Rope Share bondage workshops were set up by Yin Q with the intention for rope instructors to pass on the knowledge and passion of rope. Wonderful teachers have graced the 110 Studio over the years. Tyutumi and Master Mike kept this intention true, inspiring enthusiasm and relaying the skills of Japanese Rope Bondage and the history behind the practice.

A graduate of Midori's Advanced Dojo, tyutumi also studied with well-known rope artists at Shibaricon. He was a member of Gay Men SM Activists (GMSMA) for many years, served on its Program Committee and presented a number of GMSMA programs and workshops. He is a longtime member of the New York Bondage Club and Delta International. He has given bondage demos and classes at The Eulenspiegel Society (TES), GMSMA, Mid-Atlantic Leather (MAL), The Museum of Sex, RopeShare, Bound at Bell, and Delta. tyutumi is the founder of the Rope Dojo of New York (RoDNeY).

GOOD TIES, GOOD TIMES....
We had SO MUCH FUN at September's RopeShare with simple ties for newbies, that we decided to do more of the basics. These will be ties that anyone can learn, but they are the building blocks for more elaborate bondage. Perfect for beginners, but if you already have some roping skills, this workshop will refresh and sharpen your skills.
We're delighted that our regulars keep coming back, month after month. Maybe it's because of the playful and relaxed atmosphere that makes learning fun. And we always try to throw in something new to keep 'em happy!
There will be at least 3 ties; more if time allows. You'll have plenty of practice time and individual attention. Everyone buddies up and switches, so you will experience both ends of the rope.

...BACK TO BASICS!
In September it's time to learn the ABC's of shibari. But we won't be giving any lectures or powerpoint presentations. Instead, we plan to revisit the simple ties that are the building blocks of Japanese-style roping. There will be at least 3 ties; more if time allows. No fancy knots, or decorative ornaments, but lots of wrapping in the essential Japanese tradition that is both functional and beautiful.
You'll have plenty of practice time and individual attention. Everyone buddies up and switches, so you will experience both ends of the rope.

CORE ELEMENTS OF JAPANESE ROPE BONDAGE
Despite the explosion of interest in Japanese rope bondage in recent years, much of its rich cultural heritage remains unknown to Westerners. We'll dig a little deeper into this subject, based on material from Master K's book, "The Beauty of Kinbaku". www.thebeautyofkinbaku.com/index.html
Then we'll present some classic ties representing Japanese styles of binding the human form, allowing plenty of time for participants to practice what they've learned.
The workshop will conclude with a dramatic demo that we hope will inspire you to go further.

Or just describe something you'd like to learn, and we'll work on it together.
